About the Fish Dr., Captain Darryl

Darryl has been fishing his whole life. After working for eleven years in Southern Oregon as a hunting guide, Darryl tried his hand at traditional indoors office work — but he missed the thrill of helping other people experience the outdoors and the satisfaction he felt while sharing that joy with them.

Not all fishing tours go as planned, but there’s never a bad day out on the water.. A seasoned fisherman like Darryl is always prepared to pivot when, say, it turns out that the salmon are scarce, but there are rockfish to be found. Even when the fish aren’t biting, there’s always the possibility of sighting playful dolphins or even orcas. When fish are caught on his tours, Darryl considers that a bonus to an otherwise already special outing.
